New-Year Habit Ideas

The new year is almost here and everyone is starting to set their new years resolution. You want to get in on the new year energy but don’t know where to start. Every year you try to set new year resolutions that you never end up sticking to, but each year you say this is the year that it’s going to be different.

Well lets make this year different! I’m here to tell you, you don’t need to be a new you, YOU are worthy and awesome. Instead of focusing on the marketing term of “New Year, New You”, lets focus on the idea of creating a better version of You. We do not need to reinvent the wheel, instead focus on some healthy habits and keep it simple. Try picking 1-2 habits to focus on for a few weeks and then once you have those habits down then add in another.

Here are a few simple habits that you could incorporate in your 2021 plan!

 

Physical

·       Exercise regularly

·       Train for a specific event

·       Take more daily steps

Nutritional

·       Eat more veggies

·       Prioritize protein

·       Drink more water

Mental/Emotions

·       Journal

·       Meditate

·      Get more sleep

Relationships

·       Build stronger relations with loved ones

·       Build new relationships

·       Do something for you

Goals

·       Set intentions

·       Consistency

·       Create a vision board

There are many more habits you could choose these are just a few ideas to help you out or get your wheels spinning. My 3 big tips for sticking to habits are:

  1. Track it, Record it, Schedule it!

  2. Keep it Simple!

  3. Be Flexible, It’s not an all of nothing kind of thing!
