Making Moves Monday
I’ve talked to a lot of people who are feeling uninspired with their workouts or are going into workout and just not knowing what to do. So I decided to put together workouts to share with you. I have created two workouts that are very similar in this post with one designed to be body weight and one for those going to the gym.
First I want to identify some terminology:
AMRAP= As Many Rounds As Possible
DB = Dumbbell
BB= Barbell
Finisher= Higher Intensity to End Workout
Now time to WORKOUT!
Gym Workout
Warm Up x1-2
Yogaplex x10
Frankensteins x10
Walking Lunge with Twist x10
Jumping Jacks x20
AMRAP for 5 Minutes
Box Jumps x10
DB Bench Press x10
Plank Body Saw x10
AMRAP for 5 Minutes
DB or BB RDL x10
Leg Curl* x10
Plank Up Down x10
*Use a leg curl machine, a stability ball, or plate sliders
AMRAP for 5 Minutes
DB Goblet Squat x10
DB Upright Row x10
Bicycle Abs x20
Finisher AMRAP 1-2 Minutes
DB Walking Lunges
Body Weight Workout
Warm Up x1-2
Yogaplex x10
Frankensteins x10
Walking Lunge with Twist x10
Jumping Jacks x20
AMRAP for 5 Minutes
Jump Squat x10
Push Up x10
Plank Body Saws x10
AMRAP for 5 Minutes
Good Morning x10
Hamstring Slides* x10
Plank Up Down x10
*Use socks on hardwood/tile, paper plates as sliders, get creative
AMRAP 5 Minutes
Squat x10
Plank Shoulder Taps x10
Bicycle Abs x20
Finisher AMRAP 1-2 Minutes
Walking Lunges
